You can tell it when you meet her. She’s the real deal and wants you to be too! Susan is passionate about her own spiritual growth which fuels her heart for ministry. Susan has a history with Jesus through hardships in her own life. HE brought strength where weakness could have easily won….Susan gives testimony of God’s faithfulness in her life with every opportunity.
About Susan’s family: Susan is also passionate about her family. Susan is married to Steve Goss, the absolute love of her life, a physician and President Mercy Clinic Northwest AR. Steve and Susan have been married for 39 years and live in Bentonville, AR. They have two sons. Chad, 33, a businessman and retail consultant, married to Ashley Kella Goss, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. They reside in Bentonville, AR and have a beautiful daughter, Adeline Grace and a son, Whit David, who have stolen Steve and Susan’s hearts! Jake, 30, is a professional drummer (who toured and recorded with Jars of Clay for a six year stint and is now part of a 3 member band LANY) who lives in Los Angeles, CA. He is married to Mariah McManus Goss, a recording artist and the Worship Leader at Mosaic Church in LA.
About Susan’s professional life: Susan received her BA in Elementary Education from Ouachita Baptist University, and her Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas. Her “first career” was as a elementary school teacher and assistant principal in her local school district. During those earlier years Susan taught bible studies, led women’s conferences and was passionate in her desire for others to know the Jesus she knew. When Susan’s father passed away and her mother was to retire and move to Bentonville to be closer to family, Susan retired as a part-time assistant principal and became Women’s Ministry Director at her home church, First Baptist Church Bentonville, AR. There, God provided many opportunities to grow in leadership, teaching, leading conferences and counseling women. As the years went by God began to lay on Susan’s heart the need for her to go back to get a second master’s degree, this time in counseling. Although this was an extremely hard decision she trusted God and obeyed the call and graduated from John Brown University with her masters in Counseling and a dual licensure of Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Susan knows the heart of the wounded soul. She hears the voice of the voiceless. She is able, with God’s help, to meet people where they are without judgment. Every day she meets real life with real truth and counts it an honor to do so. As the saying goes, Susan lives “where the rubber meets the road.” This journey of faith has led her to yet another step of faith, Tangible Truth Ministries. Our mission is ……“Creating opportunities to practice and experience Truth in everyday life.”
